From Naples to Your Neighborhood
'DriftPlain originated from a simple aspiration: to honor the tradition of Neapolitan pizza in London. Established by the Bianchi lineage in 1985, our pizza shop was initially a quaint establishment run by our family, with recipes passed on from ancestor to ancestor.
Marco Bianchi, the progenitor, became proficient in pizza craftsmanship during her explorations across Italy, gleaning knowledge from esteemed pizza chefs in Naples—the cradle of pizza. When she came back to the UK, her aim was to reproduce the essence of classical Italian pizza, utilizing ancestral techniques and premium materials.
Our journey, which began with a humble pizzeria of 12 seats, has evolved into a cherished neighborhood gem. Nevertheless, our dedication to excellence and originality stands firm. We continue to utilize traditional wood-burning oven methods, prepare our dough daily on premises, and procure the best ingredients obtainable.
To this day, 'DriftPlain' is still under family ownership and management, with the Bianchi family's next generation now guiding our committed crew. While we have adopted select contemporary innovations, the essence of our enterprise remains unchanged: to serve scrumptious, bona fide pizza that unites folks.
